This year seems to be the year of Weddings for me so I thought it would only be appropriate to talk about some of my favorite designers for bridesmaid dresses and all the fun stufff that goes along with planning a wedding!
I am lucky enough to get a lot of wholesale information through my store and one of my favorite newsletters I get is through the Dessy Group. They rep some of my favorite lines.
Here is a list of some of my favorites:
Lela Rose
Dessy Collection
After Six
Alfred Sung
Cynthia Rowley
There are so many things that excite me for weddings, so to help you understand my style I went ahead and made a Wedding Style Board of the things I think are amazing and would love for a wedding!
I love the color Navy and I think it is so classic. This is the color I would want for a bridesmaid dress. I would also want it to be a long gown. It is such an elegant look.
For the men I love the suit look. I think all black suit with white shirt and navy tie to match the bridesmaids.
The flowers are of course hard to decide one because of the season, but my absolute favorite are very light pink Peonies. I would like the bridesmaids to have something similar but a bit of green in there as well.
I absolutely died when I saw the pink shoes with the flower on it. Would Love to put those with the bridesmaid dresses or have those be the shoes I wear under my dress!
Normally I would do gold jewelry because I am such a gold person, but the silver looks super classy from jewelry to even to the decor in the room.
I think wherever you decide to get married is just the right place. I don't think there is a right place for any one person. The picture in the middle of my board is my indpiration. I would love to go off and have a destination wedding.
If you are a soon to be bride or a hopeful like me, you can go to the dessy group website and create your own styleboard to help you with all your needs!

Lola and Louie
I would like to start my blog by introducing my inspirations, Lola and Louie. Lola is a Japanese Chin Chihuahua. Louie is a French Bulldog.
I got Lola about five years ago when I was a senior at Mizzou. I am not sure it was such a smart idea to get a dog my last semester of college, but she has turned out to be my best gal pal. I actually own a boutique in Overland Park Kansas called Girl Boutique and Lola has really become the face of the store. She spends most of her days perched in the window of the store surrounded by beautiful fashions. Lola always smiles at shoppers, or it looks that way with her underbite, and is the first to greet you at the door.
Louie is the newest addition to my family. I picked him up right before Christmas and it has been one of the best Christmas Presents. He is a true chunk and I love it! He is such a cuddly sweet little dog but the little man is a monster sometimes. He is getting better, but the potty training has been a bit of an issue. Lola has really started to warm up to him, now that she knws he isn't going anywhere and he is here to stay. Louie on the other hand absolutely loves lola and just followers her around and wants to do everything his big sister does.
I don't know about you but I just couldn't live my life without these dogs.
A few places that I highly suggest people to visit in KC are:
Land of Paws
http://www.landofpaws.com/
LOP is an upscale dog and cat store offering the most exclusive pet supplies, toys, treats, pet apparel and boutique items for a pet owner and their pets delivered with extraordinary customer service. This is by far my favorite store in town!!!
Doggie Style Bowtique

Doggie Style Bowtique

Doggie Style Bowtique is another great place to find unique things. Doggie Style Bowtique features a HUGE inventory of today's fashionable collars and leashes made by more than 20 local designers. They can surely fit your best friend in a fashionable but affordable collar and lead!
They also have a wide variety of healthy treats for dogs and cats, and don't forget our unbelievable selection of treat containers, water bowls, pet beds and so much more!
Natural Pet Food & Supply
This store just re-opened in hawthorne plaza. It is a great place if you are looking for natural and healthy options for your pet. This store is more focused on the actual food than all the clothes and collars and toys, although they do have a few of those things to offer.
Check out some of these great local spots or even shop their online stores if you are out of town!
